Ive been checking out quite a few live gigs over the summer and want to let you all know about the following bands who I really reccomend you check out:
Juan Zelada - Absolutly top guy, and his music is full of passion, groove and fantastic musicality. Hailing from Spain, he is definitely someone to watch!
Rosabella Gregory - Rosie is an amazing musician and a great pianist. She writes with a storytelling kind of vibe to her music, which I would compare to Tori Amos. Phill G on drums is awesome. Im used to seeing Phill doing the rock thing, but I can tell he loves this gig as he is able to put a lot more subtleties into the mix. Rosie has a facebook page which I encourage you to check out.
Thomas Dybdahl - I only came across these guys last night at the Pigalle club in Picadilly. Im actually really into good country music, and these guys, who come from Norway I think, have got a great chilled out country vibe going on. Thomas' voice is really soothing and I would highly recoomend them for any chill out moments. A couple of highlights form the gig were seeing the drummer plat full kit with chopsticks and red T-shirt man who was awesome onthe Corona Bottle!
